Interesting tid-bits we'd like you to know about!
- Memphis CASA is on the new Schedule Memphis calendar! Visit www.schedulememphis.com to see what's happening in Memphis and with Memphis CASA!

- Memphis CASA served 508 children in FY10, which exceeded the goal to serve 500 between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010! Our goal for FY11 is 500 children served.
- In May 2010, Memphis CASA received an $11,000 Capacity Building grant from National CASA and was also chosen by National CASA to serve as one of only 16 programs to pilot the new Fostering Futures program, designed to improve services to older youth in foster care! The Fostering Futures program selection was accompanied by a $75,000 grant, thanks to the Walmart Foundation. Learn more here...
- In April 2010, Memphis CASA was awarded a grant from the Thomas W. Briggs Foundation towards volunteer training expenses during FY11! Thank you to the Foundation.
- Thank you to the Darlings (formerly the Green Chicks) for putting on a great benefit concert for CASA on April 30th!!

- CASA now has a volunteer application and background check fee in the amount of $40.00.
- The next new CASA Training Class starts in August 2010 and meets each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:30pm until 8:30pm for three weeks. Porter-Leath Children's Center. Contact Reniere Hayes, rhayes@memphiscasa.org, if you'd like to join the new class!
