7th Annual Light of Hope Vigil
April 10, 2007Press Release

April is National Child Abuse Prevention month, dedicated to the many children who live with abuse and neglect.  During the month of April, across the country and locally, communities are coming together for candle lighting ceremonies, flag raisings, and service projects to honor the promise of remembering the plight of America’s abused, abandoned and neglected children.

Please join CASA of Memphis and Shelby County for the 7th Annual Light of Hope Vigil, a ceremony memorializing the lives of children who have died from abuse or neglect in our community during the past year.  The ceremony will take place Tuesday, April 24th at 5:30p.m. on the front lawn of the Memphis and Shelby County Juvenile Court, 616 Adams.

Community leaders, volunteer child advocates, and professionals who have made it their life’s mission to ensure that the voice of a hurting child does not go unnoticed will be in attendance.  We sincerely hope that on April 24th you will join us as we renew our commitment to Give the Light of Hope to a Child in need.
